Judy Dean Witherspoon Obituary, Death – Following Judy Dean Witherspoon’s passing on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at Caldwell Medical Center, the beloved Princeton resident left behind a grieving community. Caldwell County native Judy Tyrie Lowery was born to Cecil and Mary Tyrie on June 16, 1958. She is survived by many loving family members and friends.

Even though she was 65 years old, Judy’s many interests demonstrated her infectious enthusiasm for life. Dancing, playing card games, and, most of all, enjoying the development of her cherished grandchildren brought her the greatest joy, although she was also a fervent fisherwoman and a devoted fan of Kentucky Wildcat Basketball. The many people whose lives she touched as a housekeeper at Princeton Nursing and Rehabilitation were witnesses to her devotion.

Loved ones left behind include her Princeton-based son Richard “Spoon” Witherspoon and her Provo, Utah-based daughter Tiffany (Ikaika) Witherspoon Oleloe. The Oleole grandchildren, Hope and Jeremiah, were the center of Judy’s universe. Many nieces and nephews, as well as her siblings Roy (Florence) Lowery, Betty Norris, Dottie Menser, and Joyce Wright, will also be there to remember her.

Sister Velma Taylor and brother Jerry Neighbors passed away before Judy did. To celebrate Judy’s life, Morgan’s Funeral Home will host a visitation on Saturday, December 9, 2023, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. At this time of great sorrow, the Princeton community joins in the mourning of a cherished member and extends condolences to the family and friends of Judy Witherspoon.
